Q: I accidently closed the Enter Your Address & Zoom In window. How do I open it again?

A: In the upper right corner of the browser window click the  button.

Q: How do I view another hazard layer on the map?

A: On the left side of the browser window you can check Hazard Layers on and off .

Q: After I click on a hazard result in the Enter Your Address and Zoom In window, I see teal/light blue lines appear on the map. What do these lines mean?

A: The teal/blue lines indicate an area of potential hazard that your address may fall into. For best visibility, zoom in to your address before clicking on a hazard result.

Q: How do I continue past the initial welcome screen?

A: Read through the “How To” instructions by scrolling down on the welcome screen. At the bottom check “I agree” if you agree to the Terms of Use, then tap OK.

Q: I’ve navigated away from the Enter Your Address & Zoom In window and now I can’t find it. How do I get back to it?

A: If the Enter Your Address & Zoom In window is not visible, tap the  button to open it. You may have to enter your address again.

Q: Can I make the Enter Your Address & Zoom In window larger so it’s easier to read my hazard results?

A: Yes. After you search a San Diego County address tap the maximize button . Make sure you maximize the window BEFORE tapping the hazard you want to see from the list.

Q: My hazard information doesn’t display correctly or appears cut off in the window. What do I do?

A: Try scrolling down in the window. If this is not the issue, note that adjusting the position of your device (for example from portrait to landscape) may negatively affect the display of hazard information. Avoid repositioning the device, if possible.

Q: I can’t read the hazard information in the Enter Your Address & Zoom In window after I rotated my mobile device. How do I fix this?

A:  With your device rotated to desired position, make sure the Enter Your Address & Zoom In window is showing the list of hazards for your address first (“Wildfire Hazard”, “Earthquake Hazard”, etc.) then tap on a specific hazard for more information.
