Is it your family? Your pets? A time when you were helped by a volunteer? Maybe you’ve experienced a disaster first-hand?
No matter how big or small, we want to hear your story!
Here’s how to participate: upload a picture or a short video to Facebook or Twitter* and share your reason for being prepared with the hashtag #SDSharetoPrepare. The picture or video with the most shares and likes between Jan. 12 – Feb. 23 will win a two-night camping site voucher for any County park courtesy of County Parks and Recreation and a two-person tent, donated by Target!
Also, the first 1,000 San Diego County residents to sign up for AlertSanDiego will receive a 13-piece pocket ReadySanDiego first aid kit in the mail.**
So, don’t wait. Get out your camera phone and share what motivates YOU to be prepared for an emergency! You may just inspire your community,
